Mandatory Recipe Quests - Giants Cave

There are 2 quests i would like everyone to participate in;

Be aware these quests items open into alot of other items, it would be best if we put all the titans books and ancient parchments into the CWH for one member to look after and be responsible for. This person would collect all the quest items for this and the Tower of Insolence quest and would turn in the items for recipes.

Giants Cave Quest - part 1
To begin the quest talk to Head Researcher Sobling at the Westernmost entrance to Giants Cave. He will tell you to hunt yintzus, paliotes, hamruts and kranrots, which are all found throughout the upper section of Giants cave.

They will drop ancient parchments. The parchments and the items they open up into are tradeable and you can setup shops with them. If you open the parchments, they will turn into one of the following items:

Giants Doodle
Giants Loveletter
Book: Giants Medical Science Chapters 1-5
Handbook: Giants Architecture Chapters 1-5
Blueprint: Giants Golem Chapters 1-5
Book: Basics of Giants Magic Chapters 1-5
The Giants Doodles and Loveletters are the items the parchments turn into most frequently and cannot be traded in to Sobling and should be sold to the shop for 100 adena each. You need all 5 chapters of one book type to turn them in as a reward to Sobling. You will randomly receive one of the two recipes for each set of books from the list below:

60% Recipe: Tallum Tunic
60% Recipe: Tallum Stockings

Handbook: Giants Architecture
60% Recipe: Dark Crystal Leather Armor
60% Recipe: Tallum Leather ARmor

Blueprint: Giants Golem
60% Recipe: Dark Crystal BreastPlate
60% Recipe: Tallum Plate Armor

Book: Basics of Giants Magic
60% Recipe: Dark Crystal Gaiters
60% Recipe: Dark Crystalline Leggings


Giants Cave Quest - part 2
They will drop Ancient Titan Books. The Ancient Titan Books and the items they open up into are tradeable and you can setup shops with them. If you open the parchments, they will turn into one of the following items:

Giants Doodle
Giants Loveletter
Alamanac: Titan Culture Chapters 1-5
Book: Giants Science & Technology Chapters 1-5

You will randomly recieve one of the following recipes as a reward for trading in a complete set of 5 chapters:

60% Recipe: Majestic Plate Armor
60% Recipe: Majestic Leather Armor
60% Recipe: Armor of Nightmare
60% Recipe: Nightmare Leather Armor
